I've been with Dodo since Aug/2016, and it really one of the worst experience I’ve ever been lived, when i bought my ADSL 2 line they told me that i will get a speed of 13Mbps, but unfortunately each time i test the speed i found it around 4Mbps. I contact the technical support so many times and each time they told me they could not determine what is causing the problem. And each time they offer me to cancel the contract as they can’t solve the problem.

For me as a network and systems engineer with 11 years’ experience I now good that ADSL service is a shared service and you will never get the speed that your ISP offer, but I always know that if the speed dropped less than 50% then defiantly there is technical problem. In my case and as I am dealing with reseller “not directly with the ISP” I believe that DODO technical team have limited access to their customer’s infrastructure and therefore when you call DODO technical support they always tell you that they need some time to contact the provider and check for problem.

I also believe that I got the better price that other ISPs and reseller cannot beat and this is why I am still living with this problem especially I looked the internet for other ISPs review and I did not find anything else better.
Another bad thing that start happening three weeks ago, is the drop out in the line. Every day I have two to three service drop out and each time last for 3-5 minutes and when I got the service back again I got it toooooooo slow (less than 1Mbps) and in this case I turn off the modem for 5 minutes and start it again to get my 4Mbps

After checking my own lines and modem I found that my problem is all about line congestion and when I told DODO about that they keep telling me that they contacted Telstra and checked the congestion and found that the number of users connecting to server in peak hours are within the normal usage and they keep my line under monitoring for a couple of days then they back and tell me again we can’t fix your problem and offer me to cancel the contract without paying the termination fees.

The conclusion is that I highly recommend to deal always with the Internet Service Provider directly; so, you will be able at least to get a convincing justification for your technical problems which help you more to get the proper solution.

Stay away from these Liars!

I signed up in January for a 24 month ADSL plan. It was reasonably easy and fast to set up. Service has been fast enough for my needs.

My issue with them is they offered me a great promo deal which was supposed to be credited to my account on my second bill. Nothing showed up. I contacted customer support thinking it would be an easy fix and was told I would not be getting my promised credits because "there were no notes on my account." I took notes of my phone call when I signed up, employee spoke to, date and time of call and nothing. I didn't realise I should have recorded it to.
Telstra may be more expensive, but customer service is far superior and you get what you pay for. Please do not sign up for dodo.

I have being with dodo for many years purely due to their prices. I haven't really had any issues with them before and they have been good.
Pros
-cheap prices
-reliable
-helped me get out of a contract by paying a lesser fee as I felt I was pressured into signing up to them for a 24month contract

Cons
-calls from different dodo people who then apologise due to ringing about the same thing that was dealt with the day before (has happened a few times)
- the constant phone calls and pestering when you want some time to think about the plans
-nbn prices were disappointing compared to other telcos hence me changing over to another one
- some congestion and slow speeds every now and then

In conclusion I did enjoy using dodo for my adsl for many years due To the affordability and felt like i was worth the cons at the time. Unfortunately the NBN plans were a let down and they tried to sell me thier $64 plan to me at the same price saying it was a deal made just for me as a long term customer (which annoyed me) so I am no longer with them.

The initial set-up to install my ADSL hardly went smooth. I had to get it done twice before it started working. I had to be on the phone for ages with Dodo while they resolve this issue. With the billing, I was once billed for a wrong item. I had to call them and they removed that item from my bill. It was inconvenient that I have to fix a mistake they made. Dodo calls me occasionally to offer products and try to upsell to me. They also have a rewards program for existing clients with discounts for gift vouchers, movie tickets, etc., which is great to use. The internet speed is mediocre and varies. It's certainly not high speed. Video streaming can lag sometimes. Sometimes it just continues on with no lagging especially during non peak hours.

The internet was ordered online so I didn't seem to have any issues with the pricing and contract terms as I read them all myself. I was able to be connected in around 8-9 days and the Telstra technician that installed the service told me how to set up my modem.

The speed wasn't amazing I was getting around 5MBPS to start with but after a quick call to their support team they put me on a different speed profile and I had 11MBPS.

It gets a bit slow during the evening but that's congestion for you, can't really help that. The price is around $60 p/m for my unlimited plan which is amazing. Other than that, generally happy with the service.

Everything from the install by DODO to tech support (thanks Anna!) was amazing, the first few days my speeds where very slow but after talking to Anna an engineer was out within a day and found a fault in the previously installed telephone line into the building. This was all fixed and my speeds improved.

I just switched to using a Linksys router from the supplied router (pro tip!) and ran a speed test. It's the first time I have witnessed a broadband provider actually giving me the speed I am paying for for (12mbps download & 1.1 mbps upload!)

Awesome! Once NBN arrives I will definitely stick with DODO.

After hearing many mixed reviews about dodo and there services.

I took a leap of faith. There prices suited my budget perfectly. I signed a 24mth contract and got alot of extras (take advantage of their promos!) Im so happy i signed up with dodo as our broadband provider. Since the beginning they were and continue to be so helpful and listen to everything i have to. I was impressed with how quickly we were up and running. We run many devices at once and still have a strong and fast connection.

Dodo gets my vote.

We were first hesitant about going with dodo after hearing mixed reviews however we are so happy that we took a chance and ended up signing up with dodo. The Internet speed is awesome hasn't dropped out once since connection and that was over 8mths ago! My monthly bill is so cheap for an A+ service!
I highly recommend dodo they get 10/10 from Me!

Dodo is one of the cheaper telco options around and with that comes an appalling internet speed (on average 5Mbps). The company also provides very little technical support in regards to long lasting internet solutions. I continue to experience frequent interruptions in my wifi and little has been done to remedy this issue. I am often told that it is a problem with my modem rather than with their service. I have found their only redeeming quality to be their flexibility with pricing on ADSL and mobile data.

Not reliable. Poor support. Frequent drop in speed. Took me 1.5 months to get the connection. Can't vouch for it.
