Hopeless. Have waited over a week for my SIM card to arrive. Still has not arrived. Now they are charging me for days that I have no access to the service because the SIM card has not arrived. Absolutely unacceptable and pathetic

I bought amaysim sim about 8 months ago. I am very happy with it. I get complete network almost everywhere. Internet is good and since I got the sim within a offer, it was a great value for money to me. For a very cheap price you get good speed internet, unlimited calls national as well as international up to 10 countries. Customer service is also good compared to other providers like say Lycamobile. Overall I am very satisfied with my amaysim mobile broadband connection and I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for new connection especially students.

My experience with Amaysim NBN has not been good.

I paid for the Premium package and within the first week (after one good day) lost all service for 20 hours - not slow, but nothing at all.

Wasted a great deal of time trying to resolve the issue, and in the end all I could do was wait (and wait).

Same thing happened the following week - another day without any service at all - no explanations, simply told to wait.

This has happened intermittently in the months since, with speeds all over the place when the service is actually working.

But the worst was to come: I had a month to month contract and was moving residence, so I asked them to not renew the next billing cycle.

Instead, they immediately cancelled the service (I work a great deal from home)!!!

When I eventually got through to them (not easy without internet) they apologized and offered to pay back the money that I had pre-paid on the contract for the unused days - seriously, they thought that was generous .

They absolutely refused to re-connect the service for the remaining paid period.

Do not use this company - they are shocking to deal with.

When I received to Brisbane, I bought a SIM card from another company and I paid more than $200 during one month for my Internet. After talking with my friends, I decided to buy Amaysim for my network usage and I`m very happy with this. I bought a plan with 50 Gigabyte fast Internet and now I can work, study and talk with Skype very easily in comparison with my last operator. My current operator has fewer delays in Video calls and Voice calls. I don`t have major problem with it so I can`t judge about their technical support. But, it seems good.

I've been an amaysim customer for quite some time (phone data plans & broadband) and so far I'm very happy with the company. The provided value for money is very good compared to other, more expensive companies.
I have the broadband data only plan for my iPad, you can easily insert the SIM and be ready to go in a few minutes. The SIM can be bought at most supermarkets or sent to your home address for free.
It's not a look-in contract as you can cancel it monthly, which is a big plus for me. And at 15$ for 2 GB / 28 days, it fits even the smallest budget. There are deals available frequently, so look out for one of a those if you are a new customer. You have to be careful to not exceed your limit as additional data is quite expensive though. The Optus 4G plus reception works very well for me in central Adelaide, though I haven't put it to the test in more rural areas - it might have a few problems there. So far, I've always been able to stream series or movies on my iPad with no problems.
I've also had to contact customer service once about a small problem. As I'm not a big fan of hotlines, I chose to contact them by mail. I got an answer with the solution to my problem within 20 hours, which is still reasonable for me as it was on the weekend and it was not a very pressing issue. Faster customer service would be nice in the future.
To sum it up, I think that you get good value for very little money with amaysim. For those who want better reception in not so central areas or faster customer service, it might be worth looking at more expensive options.

Amaysim is good in terms of network coverage, however their support is absolutely stupid. They don't even pick up the phone line and you will sit on hold for hours. I would recommend them for their service, however not for the support
