Literally worthless. Every tech support person says something different and all are liars. No internet for a week now and after five calls I have literally no clue what is happening or if I'll ever have internet again

Appalling customer service, if they were my staff, they would be no longer in my employ.

On the 18th of August before moving home I booked in a relocation on the 28th October. We were asked to provide proof of sale which we did that included a copy of the contract of sale and a statement from our conveyancer confirming the settlement date.

On the 22 August I rang to confirm the relocation was to happen on the 28th which I was told yes, everything was in order.
Mid-afternoon on the 28th after not being connected I rang again and was told the transfer ‘should’ happen in the next 7 days. I stated it was not good enough as I had booked the change in well in advance, my voice annoyed yes, but not rude nor did I swear.

I was then put onto a supervisor who informed me the best they could do was have it installed in 7 days. When I asked is it 7 days because you are just booking it in now (again not rude) he hung up on me.

Interesting with iinet, everytime you speak with customer service you get an email asking how the service was, ironically with this call, no such email arrived.

Add to the woes it’s school holidays so kids have no internet whilst we are unpacking/ setting up new home.

If anything I state is false, I suggest iinet listen to call records and tell me where I am wrong!

We have recently moved house (are now boarding with another family) and have gone from using Telstra, to IINET as a internet provider. Slow is an understatement - the speed of the internet is basically unusable, myself and my partner are constantly having to use our mobile data to access the internet. We have contacted iiNet about the issue and all they have said is 'it's the area.' We will be contacting Telstra in attempt to switch the whole family to them instead, as we don't have any complaints to mention about their service.

Joined iinet 3 months ago when moved. Worst decision ever. Phone and internet down frequently for days at a time. Last downage for 2 weeks before they sent technician out. Just got a bill for extra $200 service fee when fault completely at their end. Save yourself the irritation.

this review is for NBN Satellite iiNet fails to respond to the customer technical problems closing the cases 6 months of failed service because the equipment was faulty but iiNet kept blaming the customer.
then failed to give reasonable refund, or compensation for time taken to resolve and by the comment given by iiNet downtime compensation to your iiNet account as well as a refund. all that was given was 2 months credit to the account.

I have had a 100/40 plan with iiNet for the last 6 months and before that had NakedDSL for 5 years at two locations. Always been reliable, only ever had one fault that VisionStream came out and fixed quickly and the two relocation I had were quick and easy, no extra charges or anything. Currently my NBN service has been solid with no downtime over the six months I have been using it solid with unlimited data. I don't get speed capped even if I download multiple terabytes of Steam games.

Money wise they're fairly middle of the range for what you get. 100 down and 40 up is about $100 but I am on an older grandfathered plan so I don't think I will be upgrading to the new $120 plans especially since I do not use VOIP. I normally pull the maximum speed I need from the tier I am on and don't experience any congestion some people get but that may be more based on the area I live in and the neighbours usage/time of day.

Customer service is average, it used to be a lot better before TPG bought it. If I need to call about an invoice extension I normally wait on hold for about 30 minutes, if I need to call Domains about something technically specific I normally don't have to wait at all, maybe 2 minutes maximum depending on the time of day.

I do not have an iiNet modem, I use a Netgear D7000 but I used to have a BoB2 and while it worked it wasn't great. I would steer clear of any modems they try to sell you and purchase something yourself from somewhere like JBHiFi and get a Netgear or Linksys.

Their business plans are normally quite good, I use them to host 4 domains, and manage my DNS. I have also used cloud products and their older VPS services before but they are since discontinued. Their technical support staff in the Business and Hosting areas definitely know their stuff better than the residential area.

Overall, the only issues I have with iiNet are the slow times to get through to someone and the overall residential technical expertise. If it something out of the ordinary they will not be able to help but if it is something common they will be able to. I recommend iiNet even though they are now owned by TPG and give them 9/10.

Disgraceful, changed over from ADSL to NBN and continued to get charged for ADSL as well as NBN. The only reason I know the changeover had occurred was our ADSL stopped working. When I questioned why I was still getting charged they said it was because I did not tell them to cancel the ADSL

I have been with iiNet for nearly 11 years and in the last few years service has gone down considerably - both in terms of the connection reliability and speed itself, and the service from their staff. I know we are all suffering with the joke of an NBN being installed but I am having to work, research and pay for so much to ensure I have a good connection. I get charged Incorrect Callout Fees when I have no record or indication that anything has been checked whatsoever. The record that I have been; "Advised of the ICF" and that I "Agree to the ICF" when nobody has even called me. I cannot wait to not be taken advantage of a company I have supported and promoted for so long.

iinet provides a decent service. We have only ever run into trouble with them when moving house, they over charged us for a few days when we weren't actually connected to internet. They also took a couple of
weeks to connect our new house to the wifi. however, their customer service - after waiting the half an hour to get in contact with them - is quite good. Their workers are always happy to help and want to see a good outcome arise. The overwall speed of our internet is great and we have no drop out issues.
