We have been with Optus for over 3 years now and the have had there ups and downs! Our activation took 10 days but we were told it would be this long when we first spoke to them as they said they were quite busy.
Our internet speed isn't as fast as I would like it to be but we live in the hills so can't complain to much as generally everyone around here has slower internet. There technical support team have been great, we had no internet for a week as it was down so he went out of his way to make sure my account was credited for the loss of service and gave me extra mobile data for the duration of the line being down. In saying that though they did take 4 days longer to restore the internet than said. So overall prettty reliable with great and not so great experiences!
