You can opt to receive only the data service and not receive the phone service. On an FTTP service, FibrePhone option is available which is similar to a traditional land line. For the NodePhone VoIP service available for FTTP, FTTB or FTTN, you can retain your old number at a one-time charge of $29.95.The NodePhone plan calls to local and standard national numbers are untimed and cost 18 cents per call. Calls to Australian mobiles are charged at 29 cents per minute. Calls to other NodePhone services are free. NodePhone2 Initial plan comes at $0 per month and $0 credit. NodePhone2 Starter Plan at $5 per month comes with $10 monthly call credit. NodePhone2 Value Plan at $10 per month comes with $20 monthly call credit. NodePhone2 Premium at $20 per month includes $40 monthly call credit.
Internode provides Ethernet, VDSL2 and VoIP-compatible modems. The TG-789 at $89 has two phone ports and can have up to five VoIP accounts. The Fritz!Box7490 at $199($249 minus $50 discount) has both Landline and VoIP capability, has two phone ports and DECT, and can have up to 20 VoIP accounts. Both routers have dual-band WiFi.
After you consume your 500GB, you can purchase a data block of any of the following: 2 GB at $5, 10 GB at $10, 20 GB at $15, 50 GB at $30, 100 GB at $50 and 200 GB at $80.
