Our broadband worked perfectly. Easy to change settings, no issues.
Being forced to change to NBN we made the change over.
Their all singing and dancing Netgear modem is useless.
To modify settings takes forever and often will reset back to the previous setting anyway.
A selling point of the modem was the two connections. That is useless. One of them drops out constantly. My iPhone 6S Plus doesn’t like to connect all the time.
It is also so slow!!
Totally fed up.
Worst part is that we really have very limited choice in rural WA.
Shame Telstra!!

Telstra has lost their way, I have been a Telstra Customer for over 25 years and would never Chang until now and I will now never return to Telstra as there customer service in non-existing and there service is the worst I have ever seen. We had problem with our NBN from the start with Telstra that they could not fix, we have changed to Dodo and now our NBN works perfectly. GOOD BUY TELSTRA YOU HAVE LOST A +YEAR CUSTOMER FOR GOOD.

I own a takeaway business that relies HEAVILY on our phone. We have had the NBN service for over a year now. It's the biggest piece of crap that I have EVER been forced to pay for! It continually goes down, several times a week, I have spoke with technicians numerous times only to be told stupid things like did you reset the modem? Of course I did! Including the 10 other times I had to before ringing you and being stuck on the phone for hours! I am not at work all the time, so when I do have time to call, I am at home and then Im told I need to be at the site. If I am at work, I AM WORKING and dont have time to be on the phone for hours! Send a technician to fix the problem and stop wasting my time on the phone with someone who barely speaks english and reads off a chart on what to do. I have been through this process 50 times, I know its not going to work! Some calls get diverted to my cell phone, others dont, its hit and miss whether or not someone gets through. I hate to think of how much business I have lost due to people not being able to get through. I am not always at work either so if someone does get through to my cell, Im not able to help much as I am not on site. Its ridiculous that such a large company can conduct business in such a manner.
Bottom line, I will never ever recommend anyone to use Telstra NBN service! One day they will wake up to themselves when they realize how much business they have lost.

Telstra is no good if you need reliable service for nvm. Since signing up we now go over our data by at least 2gb on mobiles because the Wi-Fi doesn't work properly through their modem.
However if you push enough they do compensate nicely for how bad they are :)

My experience with Telstra so far has been disappointing to say the least. My connection took 3 months to connect and activate. I was charged the whole time for the privelege of no internet. After fighting with them for the whole time being passed from NBN co to Telstra it was finally installed mind you I was charged for that too. I contacted them about this to have my bill reduced and they hardly contacted me. The install was poorly executed and will need to be relocated when my real estate replaces my air-conditioning. Overall I'm not impressed.

I have been happy with my time using this ISP. There have been little to no downtime while I have been a customer. The speeds have been relatively fast in both downloads and uploads. I like how there is great technical support available all the time. I can reach them in a myriad of ways. The value for money is worth it as you get a lot of broadband and data usage per month. I like how they provide updates regarding the status of the broadband internet on their website on a constant basis.

We have had Telstra's NBN Broadband for 16months. In this time, we have had a very good experience. The internet connection is reliable and fast. We regularly stream 4K Netflix without any lag or issues. During an instance when the connection was experiencing difficulties, the customer service team were great in organising extra data being placed onto our mobile phone at no extra cost. We were then able to use our mobile as a 'hot spot' during the broadband outage. Whilst the price of this service is higher than others, I believe you definitely 'get what you pay for'. I highly recommend Telstra as a broadband provider based on my experience.

Moved within the same postcode, just as this postcode was given the NBN tick resulting in us having no option but to take NBN.

Activation date came, modem arrived all good. NBN not ready for the next month! Spent hours upon hours on calls to Telstra with no real answers and they never called when they said they would.

Eventually NBN was activated, however, Telstra neglected to advise me of this until 5 days later! NBN worked for 10 days then stopped. No service for another two weeks, again with little communication from Teslstra. Started working again, with little glitches here and there.

Whilst Telstra provided, when I asked, a dongle so I had a limited service at home, for a communications company, I found their level of customer service lacking severely. I also appreciate that as this was NBN related, their hands might have been tied.

I have been with Telstra NBN for nearly 4 years and have had no issues since having it installed. I love the speed of NBN and the reliability is great, everytime I log on I have access. Everything I have in my home is set up through Wifi and I have no issues with blackspots in my home. It's the first time I have actually set everything up through Wifi and I won't be going back. I have never really had to contact Technical Support for any issues and can honestly say that I am very happy with my service that I receieve and it is value for money. Telstra even upped my package at no extra cost.

Hi, we just apply for nbn and use it for about 1 months now. Before we register for the nbn, it took so long for them to come and activate. However, first day when we got our internet, the download speed was 92m and after that was average 70m. The internet is still not stable. Everynight the internet will be disconnect 1-2 time which make us annoying. The speed is fine for normal use and the price is reasonable for me. However, overall im still happy with the service.
