Belong also known as a brand launched by Telstra in 2013 and has been running since then. Belong is one of the cheapest ISP which is significantly cheaper than it’s present (Telstra). However, it’s limited in offering with ADSL2 and NBN available only with the side inclusion of Belong Voice. Belong also offers budget month-to-month packages as well.

BELONG NBN TERRIBLE SERVICE
This company ignores your emails, when you call they tell you they will assign you a case manager who will give you a call back (not once have I received a call) and they won't give you any indication of what's taking so long to connect. REASON WHY ITS SO CHEAP... You get bad service and no support with it. They demand your money but won't offer you a fair service in return. I would not recommend Belong Internet service to anyone. Stay away from them!

I really wished I had of read reviews first but was assured on my initial phone call that everything would be up and running within a certain time frame. The modem was sent swiftly but that's when this company crumbles into a terribly run offshore shambles of an Internet provider.

Recently moving back from overseas and into a new home, I told the operator that it was essential that the Internet be connected by the time we moved in as I work from home and the kids have many assignments before school starts again.

2 weeks later I'm still driving over an hour to work at my in-laws house and taking the kids to the library every afternoon.

This company ignores your emails, when you call (Manila call center) they tell you they will assign you a case manager who will give you a call back (not once have I received a call) and they won't give you any indication of what's taking so long to connect.

Their app is terrible and provides no assistance.

How is a company in Australia allowed to continue operating with such terrible reviews and customer service. Shocking.

If you have a choice, avoid this company. It's embarrassing that they even mention Telsta as a partner.

This has been one of the worst experiences with customer service I have faced.

For context: Before this saga, I made a call to Belong in late September 2019, explaining that the address listed on my account is incorrect. They insisted the address on their side was the correct one we were living in. I left it as that until this saga.

1) Belong disconnected my internet connection on the 9th of January without telling us. We waited a couple of days because Belong’s internet has often dropped and after restarting the system we would get it back within the day.
2) we sent in 2 customer service support requests but they never seemed to have gotten through
3) We called Belong on the 16th of January only to be told to locate our NBN box before calling. This eventually turns out irrelevant to the case.
4) We called Belong again on the 17th, this time to be told that the internet connection was suspended because there was another address on our account. Subsequently were told to wait 2-5 business days for the reconnection.
5) On 22nd of January, I messaged Belong to check on the status of reconnection only to be told by Chard a reconnection was not valid and that I needed to apply for a “move order”. This should have been told to us immediately once Belong realised this was the case, but it took a decision made by chance to contact the company to be told.
6) I submitted a “move order” as advised, and was told by Ricky and Franz we needed to wait 7 business days (31st Jan) for reconnection. Perfectly reasonable apart from the fact that we have been without internet connection for almost an entire month!
7) I request for a reimbursement but was told by Milet this was not possible because there is still data usage at the wrong address even today as I write this. How ridiculous?! The issue started off as Belong cancelling and ADMITTING to cancelling our internet hence the prolonged saga. Any data usage in the wrong address is firstly not our responsibility, but secondly bizarre if Belong had admitted to disconnecting our internet in the first place.

Given the lack of professionalism and sheer dishonesty of the company and it’s employees, named above, I strongly urge any future users to reconsider using Belong. I would have never signed a contract if I knew how blatantly dishonest they are.

Terrible service. Avoid like the plague! We moved into a new house in the South Eastern suburbs and Belong was supposed to set up the NBN for us. After having their modum for around 4 weeks with still no progress, we moved to TPG. TPG set it up within a couple of days. As said by reviewers, there was no genuine follow up despite us calling Belong every couple of days to question why the internet had still not been activated. They constantly blamed the NBN, without giving us any rationale for why it was taking so long. I also recently discovered Belong have charged us twice for internet, since cancelling the service.

Terrible service. Modem appeared in two days but service wasn’t connected. After two weeks I have got sick of lies and broken promises from the belong call centre. They have no way of escalating problems and simply quote that someone will call in the next 48 hours. They don’t call.
They need a royal commission. In my experience this company should be banned from operations in Australia as they do fulfill their obligations.

Connection process was a shambles
Did not receive the modem after waiting 20 days
so I cancelled service.
The first call, they forgot to order modem, 2nd call they sent to the old (disconnected) address, 3rd call sorry it hasnt left the distribution centre waited 7 days and still hasnt left distribution.

Purchased a prepaid Sim and activated it with my Paypal account. They automatically set up the monthly payment without informing anything. No option to cancel the service or remove payment method in the mobile app that was used to activate the sim. The only way to cancel is to call them.

Absolutely terrible experience. For everyone, this service is trying to take money without notifying you and of course blaming on you not reading the term& condition. The Sim was marketed as prepaid for you to feel safe but was actually a postpaid service and trying to take money from you every month. Stay away from this company!

Ordered 3 services for 3 different apartments and received one modem. Other two are still coming some 11 business days later. False advertising go elsewhere. It happened to me a few months ago as well.

I contacted Belong ISP today regarding my accounts and payments. I spoke with Jason, who was very helpful. So from the 1st of November, 19. All should be sorted out and up to date, no worries.

We’ve been disappointed by the speed of ADSL. It’s been running approximately 2 mbps when it should be 14. We called Belong who sent out a technician only to discover that Belong wouldn’t be able to fix the problem and that we would have to get our own technician. I called again to cancel the service which they ended up writing a note to our name to end the service Sept 1st. I changed my mind in August because at least the cost is cheap so why risk getting a more expensive service without getting faster internet, right? So I called up Belong again to continue our service rather then ending it in Sept. the rep said he had taken care of it. Well guess what? Our WiFi shuts down Sept 1st and the app states that we currently don’t have any active broadband services. I just called Belong AGAIN and this time, the rep puts in a request to restart our service. I asked how long it would take and he said 7 business days. REALLY? After wasting hours of time on the phone talking to a rep to continue our service with Belong, this is what happened. Thanks for not following up with what you said and now we’ve paid to not have internet for who knows long. I really should have just paid $200 to switch to Optus or someone else. Waste of time but I guess that’s price you pay for cheaper rates....
