Belong
Belong also known as a brand launched by Telstra in 2013 and has been running since then. Belong is one of the cheapest ISP which is significantly cheaper than it’s present (Telstra). However, it’s limited in offering with ADSL2 and NBN available only with the side inclusion of Belong Voice. Belong also offers budget month-to-month packages as well.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in Hell? Wonder no more, Belong has you covered.

I could not imagine such a pathetic organisation could be allowed to function in Australia.

1. Customer service (like customer executives that hang up on you? then youll love belong) = 0.3/5
2. Taking money from your bank as quickly as possible = 5/5
3. Internet speeds (actual vs as promissed) = 1 / 5
4. Customer service / refund policy = 0/5
5. Solving problems and caring for the customer = 0.1 / 5
6. Making promises they wont keep = 5/5

I am going to cancel this hell whole of life. Had been with them for 2.5 months. From the get go, serious traffic / overloaded issues resulting in speeds of 1-10Mbps, at best in comparison to the 100 Mbps promissed.

I made legally valid threats, begged, and everything else. No one cares or even calls you back. Screwed up at every stage and point ( i could write a book of failure at every step).

I feel very depressed in my life due to the experience I have had in them. One could say, Ive lost hope in humanity itself.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Internet service hasn't worked properly from day 1 and the customer service is just as bad.
After 15 phone calls complaining about my service I have got no where. A technician has been to my house and apparently couldn't find a fault but then when they do speed checks I'm lucky to get 4 and they agree over the phone it's too slow.
I've also emailed the complaints deparmtent several times and it's been 9 days since my first email and I still haven't heard from anyone.
Today I called up to cancel my service and I was charged $240.
This company is an absolute disgrace.

My experience with Belong was absolutely terrible. I had speed and coverage issues from day one, as well as issues with the plan I had signed up to. The plan that I signed up to over the phone with Belong included home phone and calls - the "Internet phone" they have set up was never mentioned. I was told I was signing up to a traditional Internet and home phone plan, but I wasn't. Belong adamantly disputed that I was given the wrong information and said I misunderstood.

When I tried cancelling the service they tried charging me hundreds of dollars. After I made them do a speed test which showed how incredibly slow the connection was, and only after I made them listen to the phone recording of when I had signed up- which proved that I was correct and Belong had indeed given me the wrong information - did they then allow me to cancel the service without any fees, as they were completely at fault. The whole experience was an ordeal, and one I definitely do not recommend.

Honestly I do experienced some drop off occasionally. I used many other service providers before, all had similar issues. I guess it is not the service provider issue. Belong has very professional customer service and they keen to help. They offer 24/7 service, which is super good for me. You can get $20 off if you use the Promo Code "IAFAGT7VP" when you connect your service.

You'd get better service with a potato!

AVOID! DO NOT SIGN UP! I have lodged 2 complaints with the TIO in the past week, my service has only been activated for a week, I ask to talk to supervisors and they hang up, I get told I can get speeds of 6-9Mbs I am lucky to get 3Mbs, I have had two technicians tell me 2 different things. I'm told I'm 1.8Kms from exchange then suddenly I'm 2.9Kms now I'm apparently 5kms. I was then told I have a bridge tap and there was nothing the technician could do, I was not made aware of this when I signed up. My highest speed in the last 4 days has been 700kbs at 4:30am. If I could give belong 0 stars I would. Belong is an absolute joke of a company anyone with Belong I urge you to call the TIO on 1800 062 058.

Without a doubt one of the worst ISPs I've ever had the misfortune of encountering.
Consistently slow speeds of under 1mbps. The lowest I've recorded is 0.04mbps. With a promise of 20mbps, this is hardly adequate. The technical support team tell you the same thing over and over again and are unwilling to process you through to the next level of investigation. They are quite happy to take your money whilst not doing a f***ing thing.
Please places please don't make the same mistake I did. There is a reason you don't pay as much for this service and they lock you in with a fee of $130 to cancel.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. PLEASE

I knew i made a mistake going with these clowns. Firstly the speed is misrtable - mostly around 200kbs. Reliability is also terrible. In the three months ive been with them i have been connected for maybe one month. Technical support is good but wait timea for an operator have been between 30 monutes to 1 hour.

No way in hell would i recommend these guys. Worse company ever. Ok not ever. Just worst company in 2017

Reliability:

So-so. I experienced frequently (at least once a week) a technical "blip" in service from them where the internet would just "drop-off" for about 30 seconds, the then modem would take another 2-odd minutes to fully reconnect. Always happened in the middle of a client job.

Speed, Technical Support:

We were one of the last premises to be fitted with fibre to the house. We opted for the fastest speed (100mbps) with 1Tb download and with no other add-ons as I work from home and need a fast service; I also work with rather large files as well.

After about a week I was suspicious as it didn't seem that much faster than when we were on with ADSL2+. After performing multiple speed tests it was confirmed we were achieving about 1/4 the download speed than what we were paying for.

Calls to support only had them blame firstly my computer (claiming it because it was wifi to the modem - but actually no - it was connected via Ethernet cable), then blamed the modem itself (interesting as it was a Belong-supplied modem). No resolve here.

Value for money:

Rubbish. It's like we paid for first-class but got bumped to economy without a sorry or anything.

Conclusion.

Give this a miss.
